Frequently Asked Questions

What are Nutritional Supplements?

A dietary supplement, also known as food supplement or nutritional supplement, is a preparation intended to supplement the diet and provide nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, or amino acids, that may be missing or may not be consumed in sufficient quantities in a person's diet. Some countries define dietary supplements as foods, while in others they are defined as drugs or natural health products.

Supplements containing vitamins or dietary minerals are included as a category of food in the Codex Alimentarius, a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines and other recommendations relating to foods, food production and food safety. These texts are drawn up by the Codex Alimentarius Commission, an organization that is sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Where do I Find Your Expiration Dates?

As an FDA-regulated facility, we operate under their rule 21CFR111, which does not allow us to have an expiration date, but rather a date of manufacture.  You can read this code (lot number) easily.  It’s six digits (YYMMDD) (year month day) followed by xxxxx– (5-digit item code).  So, 180321-12191 would mean Brain Support was manufactured March 21, 2018.  Our bottles are nitrogen flushed and an induction seal applied, so there is not any oxygen in the bottle to degrade the ingredients.  Further, our products are distinguishable by our exclusive Violite® container. Violite® is an innovative, dark violet-colored, PET plastic bottle that blocks light frequencies between 290-450 nm, which can create radiation damage to ingredients.

What Are Excipients?

Excipients are binders, fillers, flowing agents and “glues” that are often NON-nutritive substances used in nutritional products. Many of these substances are questionable and are often used as inexpensive-fillers-to fill up the capsule the rest of the way when there is a low amount of nutrients.

Premier Research Labs ("PRL") asked the question: "Would you want to consume anything that is not nutritive?" We believe it is unnecessary to take nutritional products that have questionable, potentially harmful, non-nutritive excipients.

What about tablets? Tablets must contain excipients by their nature (that is how they are made; they cannot be made without them); therefore, we believe wise choice is to avoid nutritional products as tablets.

One common example of a questionable excipient is magnesium stearate, an inexpensive lubricating agent used in capsules and tablets. Research shows it may be immune-compromising.

What is “The Premier Quality Effect”?

We believe that only premier quality nutrients are capable of promoting the most rapid shift in ideal cellular resonance. The "Premier Quality Effect" is demonstrated when the effect of biocompatible nutrients may be far greater than the sum of their individual benefits.

For example, the total antioxidant values for Trim Body Blend Protein Blend exceeded the sum of its individual antioxidant values by a factor of 2 (measured by an advanced, independent British laboratory capable of assaying fat and water-soluble antioxidants simultaneously).

What is Cellular Resonance?

Exciting research over the last 15 years has shown that the outer membrane structure of every cell in your body is a unique, semi-crystalline matrix. This means that every one of the trillion plus cells in your body has an ideal resonant frequency, much like a crystal glass that rings its own special note when struck.

What is the Harmonic Resonance Effect?

The consequences of this stunning discovery of resonant frequencies is enormous. It is a secret key that may unlock the hidden door as to why some people can quickly shift to great health – and others can’t. This discovery reveals why the ideal resonant frequency of each cell can only be sustained or regained by consuming nutrients that are also at their ideal resonant frequencies.

This dynamic interaction between the cell and the nutrient creates a highly beneficial, harmonic resonant effect in which the cell is able to ingest not only the nutritional factors but can also absorb the higher resonant frequencies embedded in the nutrient.

What is The “Body of Light”?

Ground-breaking experiments by German biophysicist Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp of the University of Kaiserlautern and others have demonstrated a release of “light” emanates from healthy cells, which is not normally visible to the naked eye but easily quantified by highly sophisticated German optical equipment. This radiant field or “body of light” around a molecule distinguishes living from non-living substances.

How do We Keep From Falling Out of Cellular Harmony?

Consuming nutrients that are synthetic or that have degraded resonant frequencies (from nutrients that have been poorly grown or contaminated with chemical additives, etc.) may dampen the cell’s resonant frequency. The wisest choice may be to consume premier nutrients that have a “body of light” — without the junk (no questionable tagalongs or excipients).

Ingredient Quality

How do you source your ingredients?

PRL selects its ingredients based on identity, purity, and premier quality. PRL sources ingredients from qualified, trusted leaders and suppliers throughout the world.

All of our ingredients are tested for purity and species identification by our own in-house microbiological and biochemical labs as well as by independent laboratories. Each of our ingredient suppliers must meet our rigorous testing criteria as well as our stringent bioenergetic testing criteria to qualify as a PRL ingredient supplier.

Do you list ALL ingredients on the label?

PRL lists all ingredients on each of its product labels. in the past, we noticed that some manufacturers downplayed the use of questionable excipients in their products by failing to list them in their catalogs or websites. Recent FDA laws now require the listing of all ingredients, including excipients, on product labels so it is now easier for the practitioner to identify products that contain undesirable or unwanted ingredients.

Do your products contain excipients?

Our products do not contain added excepients. Our products are also made without questionable preservatives (such as sodium benzoate) and contain no added coatings, shellac, or hydrogenated oils.

We also do not use talcum powder, a suspected carcinogen, in the manufacturing process although the use of this agent is common in the nutritional supplement industry. Rarely will you find talcum powder listed on the label of another manufacturer's product, even though they have used it in their manufacturing process. PRL’s products are made without talcum.

Do your products contain magnesium stearates?

We do not add magnesium stearate from either animal or vegetable sources to our products because research shows that it may convert to formaldehyde (a metabolic stressor/contaminator). Formaldehyde is also linked as a carcinogen by the U.S. Department of Healthand Human Services.

What is the source of your vegetable capsules?

Our vegetable capsules are made from tree fiber. Our certificate of analysis verifies that no undesirable solvents are used to make our capsules. Unfortunately, some companies use vegetable capsules that have solvent residues.

Do you use animal organ and glands in your products?

We do not use harvested animal organs or glands in our products for many reasons, including the risk of consuming undesirable toxins and hormones that the animal may have bioaccumulated. In contrast, PRL has formulated a premier line of organ and gland-targeting products – without the use of animal organs or glands. Please see our website to view our comprehensive line of these specific products.

Are your products certified as kosher?

Most PRL products are not certified as kosher. Two products, Cherry Elixade™ and Pomegranate Elixade™, are certified kosher.

Product Use

Should I take my supplements with meals or between meals?

Typically, most products can be taken with meals. For specific recommendations, please refer to the label’s suggested use.

Why would the color of the ingredients in a capsule look slightly different from batch to batch?

Since PRL sources many ingredients in their natural state, the color, texture and even odor of a product may vary somewhat from batch to batch or from season to season. Despite these natural variations, each product contains its exact formula and is rigorously tested for purity, identity, and quality as are all of our products.

Can your products be taken during pregnancy or lactation?

PRL does not make recommendations concerning the use of products during pregnancy or lactation.

Why don’t you use gelatin capsules?

Gelatin capsules are typically derived from bovine sources and may contain questionable constituents. Gelatin capsules are half the cost of vegetable capsules and are much harder to digest than vegetable capsules. Gelatin capsules may only partially dissolve and may have a sticky, glue-like effect in the body.

For people who want the best delivery system when consuming nutritional ingredients, solvent-free vegetable capsules offer superior digestibility, convenience and purity as well as providing beneficial fiber and easier absorption. This becomes a very important issue when you consider that a person may be taking nutritional supplements on a daily basis for many years.
