The UltraLux Home Pre-Filter – Sediment serves as the first line of defense for your home's water system, effectively removing larger particles such as clay, gravel, sand, silt, rust, and organic matter. This pre-filter not only enhances the functionality of your appliances but also protects your pipes and extends the lifespan of subsequent water filters. Featuring a flushable and reusable 40-micron stainless steel mesh screen, it ensures efficient filtration with minimal maintenance. The user-friendly design allows for easy installation with 1-inch male threads, optional 3/4-inch brass adapters, and a 3/8-inch PEX pipe Quick Connect fitting, along with approximately 2 feet of PEX pipe to suit various plumbing configurations.

Installation:
- Identify a flexible section in your main water line for installation.
- The pre-filter features 1-inch male threads; optional 3/4-inch brass adapters are included for compatibility.
- An optional 3/8-inch PEX pipe Quick Connect fitting is available at the bottom for secondary connections. Approximately 2 feet of PEX pipe is included.
- Minimal tools are required; in flexible areas, simply unscrew fittings to integrate the pre-filter inline.

Operation:
- Once installed, the pre-filter continuously removes larger particles such as clay, gravel, sand, silt, rust, and organic matter from your water supply.

Maintenance:
- Regularly check the 40-micron stainless steel mesh screen for trapped particulates.
- Use the provided filter-removal tool to easily extract and rinse the mesh screen as needed.
